The following case studies, are good examples of good practice in
the criminal justice system.
Apex Trust: Offers a range of services to ex-offenders and employers
to ensure a better employment relation.
Depaul Trust: Protects and supports over 3,800 young people each
year. The Trust has developed two projects running inside and
outside of prisons to help break the cycle of re-offending.
Kainos Community: Offers prisoners therapeutic offending behaviour
interventions, supportive community living and social development
with the motto: ‘Challenge to Change’.
Mothers Union: In the UK, over 1,000 MU volunteers work in 90
prisons, seeking to help families sustain and develop their
relationships whilst parted by imprisonment.
YMCA is committed to providing a place for young people,
particularly in times of need. The YMCA is the largest voluntary
provider of safe, secure and affordable supported housing for young
people in England.
